AMoH AFTER HOURS | Summer Concert Series
Join us for our AFTER HOURS Summer Concert Series, happening EVERY 3rd Tuesday of the Summer Months (June - August) from 6 PM - 8 PM (doors open at 5:30 PM) at the historic Smith-McDowell House, home to the Asheville Museum of History (AMoH).
Each concert will showcase the talents of local artists who reflect traditional and contemporary folk, bluegrass, and Appalachian mountain music. For our July 21st AFTER HOURS concert, we are delighted to have the Nature Boys! Performances will take place on the front porch of Smith-McDowell House, allowing friends and families to gather and enjoy the music from the front lawn.
Please pre-order a curated picnic from Finch Grocery to enjoy on the lawn—options below. On the night of the show, wine and beer will be available for sale, as will non-alcoholic beverages.

Your picnic basket purchase will support the Asheville Museum of History and Finch Grocery.
Nonetheless, while we will sell beverages during the show, please feel free to bring your own food and picnic-style dinner. Also, we will only be able to provide a few chairs, so please bring your own lawn chairs and blankets to ensure you have comfortable seating.
In addition to live music, AFTERS HOURS will feature games and activities for the entire family. Included with your ticket cost is admission to the museum. Folks will be able to enjoy the museum as they would during normal operating hours.
About Jack Devereux:
Asheville’s very own Jack Devereux is what some may call a trans-continental hillbilly as music has taken him around the country and back. His love for music came early, and he began playing violin at the age of 3. A former fiddle player for Town Mountain, Jack released Red Steer in 2023, an album he recorded in his Asheville living room in late 2014. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Jack is a respected violin maker and fiddle player who frequently performs around town.
