Alexander Craig - Mid-West native Alexander Craig captivates crowds with his high energy fusion of American roots music. When he's leading his big band, performing with his trio, or playing as a traditional one man band he inspires dancing and audience engagement. His songs are as wide ranging as his character, from swampy gut-bucket blues to blistering punk inspired rock n' roll. With enthusiasm and spiritual drive he promotes unity during these divided times bringing light to our commonalities through song and dance. In addition to being a performer and songwriter he also produces, directs, and edits music videos for himself and for others.
Woodsong Souvenir - When the music is all acoustic, at a volume that pulls you closer, and when the lyrics truly matter, you get a different kind of feeling about what you're listening to....It almost feels like a hug. Woodsong Souvenir is a group of good friends that all have a passion for good music, and the ways that good music makes you feel and leaves you more hopeful.
All the members of this project work in other bands but find time on Sundays to get together, work on beautiful music, rehearse, record, and share stories. Christopher David Hanson fronts the band and brings the singer songwriter feel to the group. Along with Jill Burkes on violin and Rob Wheeler on acoustic guitar, both from the duet Morningbird, they bring the folk element to the project. Joined by Mesabi symphony orchestra musician Lynn Evenson on stand up bass, and with thoughtfully composed percussion provided by Matt Jarva the group is well rounded by years of experience in classical training.
Danny Frank & the Smoky Gold - After two decades of writing songs, years of performing as a solo artist, and the recent release of his debut album Smoky Gold, singer-songwriter Danny Frank has curated an all-star cast of seasoned musicians that fully compliments his skillfully-crafted works. Based in Duluth, MN, “The Smoky Gold” is comprised of banjo player Harrison Olk (Tin Can Gin, Cascade Crescendo, Kind Country Band),bassist Joe Scarpellino (Smokin’ Joe, Elour, Dead Larry), and fiddle savant Erin Aldridge (Concert Master - Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra). Danny Frank & The Smoky Gold’s unique sound blends soulful lead vocals with rich harmonies and virtuosic instrumentalism. Steeped in musical traditions of folk, bluegrass, country, classic rock, and blues, Danny Frank & The Smoky Gold offers a genre-blending Americana sound that is captivating, invigorating, and sure to get your toe tapping.
