Festival Ballet Virginia is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, high quality, pre-professional dance company dedicated to inspiring excellence and infusing passion in dancers and audience members. Festival Ballet Virginia provides the important performing experience necessary to complete our dancers' education. Membership in Festival Ballet Virginia is by audition held each spring. In addition to their class commitment, dancers in Festival Ballet Virginia participate in Performance Workshop classes where they work on choreography, rehearse, and master the techniques necessary for performing.
An important component of Festival Ballet Virginia is an extensive educational approach, providing educational and entertaining outreach programs to our service area schools, through special student performances and through lecture demonstrations designed to introduce children to the art of dance.
Description
Take an adventure with Alice as she falls down the rabbit hole and embarks on a colorful and whimsical journey through Wonderland. With a cast of over 30 young dancers performing alongside our pre-professional dancers, this show is highly entertaining for all ages! In addition to terrific dancing and fun costumes, there are cool stage effects, plus a BIG Cheshire Cat you don't want to miss. Lap-sitters under age 2 may attend for free. Runtime is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes. Concessions, raffle, silent auction, and boutique items will be available before and after the show in the lobby.
