Alice’s Restaurant 60th Anniversary Celebration with Arlo Guthrie

A Fundraising Event for The Guthrie Center

Join us on Saturday, November 8th for an unforgettable fundraising event!

Doors open at 3:45pm Event begins at 4:00pm

Mark your calendars for an unforgettable evening as legendary folk singer Arlo Guthrie makes a return to the very setting that inspired his iconic spoken-word masterpiece, "The Alice's Restaurant Massacree." This truly special event commemorates the 60th anniversary of the events chronicled in his epic tale. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Guthrie Center and its programs.

We've planned a fun-filled evening to honor this momentous occasion:

  • Reception: Starting the evening off there will be a brief reception in the lobby with complimentary lite fair. Beer, wine and other concessions will be available for purchase.
  • Silent Auction: Browse our silent auction items displayed in the lobby.
  • Q&A with the One and Only Arlo Guthrie starting promptly at 4:30pm: Hosted by Matthew Penn, get ready for insights and stories from the legendary Folksinger himself. Your ticket offers the opportunity to submit a question for the Q&A session. Due to time constraints, not all questions will be answered, and submissions are subject to approval.
  • Paddle Raising Event: The incredible Terry A LA Berry (member of Shenandoah and Arlo’s drummer for over 40 years) will host a paddle raising to benefit the Guthrie Center and its programs. You'll be gifted a special commemorative paddle, proudly displaying the Alice's Restaurant 60th Anniversary Logo.
