Praised by NPR’s Bob Boilen as a “powerful voice whose tender performance commands attention and fosters connection,” Alisa Amador made history in 2022 with the first-ever Spanish language song to win NPR's prestigious Tiny Desk Contest.

Amador's passion for music is no coincidence. She began singing with Sol Y Canto, the Pan-Latin ensemble founded by her parents, Rosi and Brian Amador, at the age of five and spent much of her childhood traveling the country on an endless series of tours.

New Song embodies the vitality and verve that made its predecessor, the original New Song Coffeehouse (1985–2008) in Bedford, Massachusetts, a much-beloved music venue for more than 20 years.

Entirely volunteer-run, we stage nine shows yearly featuring the best contemporary folk, Americana, and bluegrass performed by local, regional, and international talent. Our concerts are held in the historic Reed Room at Bedford Town Hall, offering superb acoustics in a comfortable setting.
