Description

Buckle up for this comedic look at the thin line between magic and juggling. Magicians woo audiences by hiding their skills. Jugglers wow audiences with their skills totally on display. Manipulating multiple objects as well as the audience is all part of the fun in this show for all ages.

Artist Bio:

Ted Baumhauer, Ed.D. started as a family variety performer in 1994 in Milwaukee, WI to make his leadership presentations more entertaining. Since that time, he has won the 5 Ball and Best Trick competitions at the Cornell University Big Red Juggling Festival and won the Best Circus/Variety/Magic Act in the 2020 Tucson Fringe Festival. He has performed in all the Rochester, NY Fringe Festivals since its founding in 2011 along with the Ithaca and Pittsburgh, PA Fringe Festivals. He continues to perform as part of the Variety Mind Trip shows in the Western NY area.

Tucson Fringe Festival

The Tucson Fringe Festival is an unjuried, uncensored performing arts festival. Following international fringe tenets, the festival provides artists with low-risk, low-cost opportunities to perform by using economies of scale to reduce venue rental costs and by taking 0% of the artist’s earnings. Additionally, the festival also provides the Tucson arts community with avant-garde, non-traditional performing arts at very low ticket prices. Finally, the festival does not curate or select the performances, maintaining an environment in which everyone and anyone can perform. This ensures that underrepresented artistic voices are championed in our community.
