Welcome to the Bluetongues
We are a local football club known as the Bluetongues, started 17 years ago in 2003 by a group of parents in Alphington whose kids enjoyed playing soccer at Alphington Park. Some of our founding members are still involved with the club.
From very casual beginnings, this group of kids and parents has evolved into a formal club. We fielded 13 teams in 2019 and ran programs through from our junior development squad to our champion veterans teams.
We are a community-oriented club focussed on the development of our members, as players and as people. We aim to have fun, to be inclusive and to have competitive teams.
The Bluetongues are the only all ages Football Club in Alphington, with its home ground at Alphington Park. We play teams from across Melbourne’s inner and outer northern suburbs. Our members and volunteers are committed to a strong future for our club through being welcoming and supportive of all children (and their families), teenagers, adults and veterans who want to learn and play football. We are a family-friendly environment where parents can relax while their children have fun playing football with their mates, learn the game’s skills and disciplines, and understand values such as personal effort and teamwork.
We are fortunate to have a stunning home ground , that we look forward to sharing with the 4000+ residents that will move in to the Alphington Paper Mill developments on our doorstep over the next five years.
