Greater Worcester Opera is a dynamic, non-profit arts organization whose mission is to present stage and concert works that feature classically and professionally trained local artists. Description
Amahl and the Night Visitors is a beloved one-act opera, written and sung in English. It tells the story of a poor widow and her crippled son Amahl, who are unexpectedly visited one night by 3 Kings and their Page who are on their way to find the Christ child. From the lush opening bars to the final, emotional ending, this show will delight audiences of all ages and is family friendly. GWO is especially pleased to offer this show in early January (around Epiphany) as a contemplative artistic offering after the busyness of the December season. Running time is about one hour.

Please send an email to tickets@greaterworcesteropera.org to arrange for handicapped seating. We have reserved row BB seats 1-8 for wheelchair accessibility (with companion seats available.) Please request these seats no later than one week before the performance date. At that time, the handicapped seats will be released to the general public.
