The Museum of Work & Culture will present a discussion of Woonsocket artist Bernard Fontaine’s life. “An Artist Amongst The Mills” is set to captivate and inspire visitors on October 25, the 100th anniversary of the artist’s birth.

The presentation offers an extensive overview of the life of Bernard Fontaine, a lifelong Woonsocket resident who was also a multi-faceted artist. The discussion will be presented by Fontaine’s two sons, Andre and Pierre Fontaine. 

The event will include a guided tour of the Museum of Work and Culture, with special focus on the Triple-Decker House exhibit, designed by Fontaine, and featuring family photographs and mementos.

The event will start at 1 pm with the talk beginning at 1:30 pm. Refreshments will be available. For those unable to attend in person, a Zoom registration option is available.
