Join us in the intimate setting of The Broadside Pavilion for Alexis and The Sanity. 

The Broadside Barroom and Nikkei Izakaya kitchen open at 5pm.

Alexis & the Sanity, a pop duo hailing from New Orleans, LA, were formally christened in Spring 2023 when their debut single Hind Legs was released online. The band’s sound marries electronic samples, acoustic instruments, and the powerful soprano of frontwoman Alexis Marceaux. Their second single, Invisible Man, came out in August.

The group, consisting of members Marceaux and violinist/keyboardist Sam Craft, have spent the last decade as Alexis & the Samurai but found a new moniker appropriate for an evolving sound. According to frontwoman Alexis Marceaux, “The Samurai had a jaunty, Americana vibe. Our new stuff is darker and more electronic and we wanted to start fresh, hence the name change.”

FAQ

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
  • We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  • Our outdoor space has a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. If you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
