On Tuesday 16th June, Newcomer Wines will welcome Theo Zierock of Foradori to The Loft in Clerkenwell for a one-off dinner, cooked by LUCA's Robert Chambers.
Nestled high in Trentino, in the idyllic Italian Dolomites, where the cultural landscape is a melting pot of German custom and Italian tradition, you will find Agricola Foradori. Having been established in 1901, the estate became biodynamic under its fourth generation winemaker Elisabetta Foradori in 2002. The 30ha estate is now lead by Elisabetta's children, Emilio, Theo and Myrtha, who have further progressed the farm’s narrative and focus, and brought a new energy and dynamism into the fold since 2013. Theo will be joining us on the evening itself, providing insight into the family's aim of expressing the terroir of Trentino through its wines.
The four-course menu has been designed especially for the occasion and will include an antipasto of Grilled white and yellow peaches, stracciatella and alpine speck followed by Aged pork chop with white beans and artichoke. For dolci will be Vignola cherry pie with plum kernel custard and mascarpone ice cream. Whilst the menu cannot be modified for specific dietaries, a Vegetarian alternative will be available if selected when booking.
Dinner will begin at 7pm - the menu is priced at £55 exclusive of wine. A large number of Foradori wines will be available with Theo on hand to share the story behind the glass.
