Description

When Israel's soldiers are injured, it's up to the elite helicopter-borne combat search and rescue Unit 669 to extract the wounded and provide medical treatment — often under fire and from behind enemy lines.

American Friends of Unit 669 (AFU669) was established to build the connection between U.S. Jews and the unit's veterans — helping them expand their impact in Israeli society and around the world.

Stephen Wise Free Synagogue is proud to host AFU669's executive director, Capt. (res.) Bar Reuven, an entrepreneur and a veteran of Unit 669 who established its alumni organization, joined by Officer Yoav M., a combat officer who has served more than 250 days on active duty during the war in Gaza and other operations across the Middle East.

Light bites and wine will be served.

This program is co-sponsored by Stephen Wise Free Synagogue's Amplify Israel initiative and Israel Committee, American Friends of Unit 669.
