Join us for a powerful and timely conversation with Sarah Hurwitz, former White House speechwriter and acclaimed author, as she sits down with Rabbi Nickerson to discuss her new book, As A Jew: Reclaiming Our Story From Those Who Shame, Blame, and Try To Erase Us.

Together, they’ll explore how antisemitism has shaped Jewish identity, and what it can look like to reclaim our heritage with learning, pride, and purpose.

The evening will include a moderated conversation, audience Q&A, and a book signing following the program.

About Sarah Hurwitz

Sarah Hurwitz is an American speechwriter, author, and communicator known for her work at the highest levels of American public life. She served as a White House speechwriter for President Barack Obama and later as chief speechwriter for First Lady Michelle Obama, and she was also chief speechwriter for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign.

She is the author of As a Jew: Reclaiming Our Story From Those Who Shame, Blame, and Try To Erase Us, a New York Times bestseller and award-winning exploration of antisemitism and Jewish identity, and Here All Along, a widely praised book about rediscovering the richness of Judaism.
