Bio: Judith Kjenstad has been painting since the 1970s, entering the world of rosemaling during its golden era in the U.S. With a remarkable journey marked by authenticity, Judith has the unique distinction of having learned rosemaling almost exclusively from Norwegian rosemalers, with the exception of two classes from Vesterheim Gold Medalist, Addie Pittelkow. In 1981, she proudly earned her Vesterheim Gold Medal, a testament to her exceptional talent and dedication. Since then, Judith has shared her passion by teaching countless classes and continues to inspire and mentor aspiring rosemalers, passing on the rich traditions of this beautiful art form.
