Anne and Maud is a combination of Maud's journal entries and Anne of Green Gables. Experience Anne Shirley's story in a new way, as you listen to her creator Lucy Maud Montgomery share pieces of her own story and draw your own comparisons and conclusions about the author and her writing. A poignant and touching play that celebrates Maud's most famous novel.

This event is part of the INSPIRATION ANNE WEEKEND, a fundraiser for the new North Hastings Inspiration Place.

The North Hastings Inspiration Place will expand the current services offered by the North Hastings Public Library to include a community hub on Cleak Avenue in the Town of Bancroft.

The Town of Bancroft and Townships of Faraday and Limerick partnered in this community initiative, to support library operations providing services to the greater area. Our space will be open to our surrounding community to come to reduce their social isolation, connect with themselves and their peers.

The project has begun and been secured by municipal, provincial, and federal contributions. We anticipate breaking ground in the fall 2022. The Government contributions alone will not complete the project, and we will rely on the support from our community to reach our $500,000 fundraising goal.
