Missoula Children's Theatre is returning to the Salem Theatre
July 13-18 , with the production of “The Emperor's New Clothes”.
Children entering First Grade to age seven years in the Fall of 2026 through a Senior in high school are invited to attend the week-long theatre camp, complete with two Saturday performances.
Roles are limited to a total of 60 campers. There are 16 spots for children entering first grade up to age seven. There are 44 spots for children in second grade and above. For those interested in a more behind-the-scenes experience, up to four spots are reserved for Assistant Directors. If you are interested in an Assistant Director postion, please email salemtheatre02@gmail.com. DO NOT complete an online application.

***An Individual "sale" must be completed for each child. If you register multiple children, you will recieve a free ticket for each additional child to cover the cost of the additional credit card fees.

Show Synopsis:
“Dress for success” is good advice that the Emperor takes whole-heartedly, wanting to impress the Kings & Queens of the Elemental Kingdoms. But where to stop? When the clothes (and other people’s opinions) become more important than the people of the kingdom, trouble brews. The Royal Scholars & Royal Artisans try to help their beloved Emperor find the way back to his heart, but the Money Council led by Manypenny want to keep the Emperor’s new obsession growing. When the loyal Silkworms are kicked out of the castle, it becomes clear that the Emperor needs to learn a lesson. With all of the Elemental Kingdoms gathered, it’s time for a royal parade!
