Tour of the Valmont Pittsburgh Galvanizing Facility
Program: “Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG) Bridges and Effective Design” - A two-part tour: Guided Access Through the Galvanizing Plant and Seminar on Galvanizing Bridges. Seminar will provide participants ability to: Understand the HDG process, Why Galvanized Steel for Bridges is Preferred, Use Effective Bridge Design Practices for HDG, and Proper Inspection / Repair of HDG steel bridges. PDH ‘s available.
**Attendees MUST bring their own Hard Hat, Safety Vest, Safety Glasses, Long Pants and Closed Toe Shoes/Appropriate Footwear for the Tour **
**Presentation will be outside under a tent**
**Recommend car pooling if possible**
Tour Times: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm (Valmont will provide drinks and snacks for those interested.
