A TSL Archive Project Movie Screening: ROOM / RAUM (2021)
An animation film based on the 1981 book of the same title, by Linda Mussmann.
Written by Linda Mussmann, edited and mixed by archivist Henry Munson. Room / Raum is a filmed version of a text written in 1978 and recorded in 1984. The film includes music composed and performed by Semih Firincioğlu with vocals by Dagmar Apel and Claudia Bruce. The archive is the repository of over 40 years of performance and related work by Mussmann and Bruce from the 1970s to the present. The film demonstrates the exciting possibilities brought about by digital technology and its use to translate works from the 20th century into works for the 21st century.
