In this month of giving thanks, we are grateful and thankful for the community that has supported us and shares our joy in the beauty of art, fossils, and the Island. We are celebrating the artists who have filled our shop with beautiful fossil-centric products and the fossil loving community which has been so generous in donating enthusiasm, time, and fossils to us.
The very first song that played in Fernandina Fossils when we opened on Jan 1, 2025 was "Be Grateful" by our local looping artist Brian Ernst, so it is pitch-perfect that we are celebrating with live music from Brian. We'll have a silent auction for exclusive art pieces from our makers and artists. Proceeds will be used to restore our damaged mosaic wall in the kintsugi style, which highlights the beauty in brokenness by mending cracks with gold. We will be giving the community a chance to sign mosaic pieces with their names so when the tiles go back on the wall, they include the strength of us all.
