Description
Inspired by the work of Charles White, this teacher workshop focuses on examining themes of resistance and the human condition in the work of various artists. Teachers will be guided to create a work of art that shows resilience in the face of adversity. The workshop blends guided instruction with open experimentation, set against the backdrop of the Brooks’ inspiring galleries. Following the workshop, teachers will be given admittance to a concert by beloved singer, teacher, and Memphis legend Joyce Cobb.
