Description

Art Club is suitable for anyone over age 18 who is interested in learning fun art techniques and hanging with creative people.

Classes are two hours long and include everything you need to complete a project, unless otherwise stated. You will be able to take home your piece that night, in most cases.

June 25, 6pm - Paint your own Fabric or Embellish your own Bestie Sunnies $25: We will be using permanent fabric paint so please bring items you don't mind being covered in rainbows. For this class, you'll need a pair of jeans, a pair of canvas shoes, or a jean jacket. Sturdy Canvas or Denim fabric works best. We will show you how to make fabric paint out of regular art supplies and make them last on your clothes. You also have the choice to make Embillished Besties In this fun Pride themed event, we will be embellishing sunglasses - either your own or use the heart shaped sunglasses provided (or both) with fun and colorful beads, paper and glitter.

You can do both projects with time permitted.

July 9, 6pm - Linocut and Stamping $25: Linocut is a printmaking technique where a design is carved into a sheet of linoleum, inked, and stamped onto paper or fabric. Join Bree as she shows how to use a Speedball linocut tool on carving blocks then demos how you can make fabric prints, totes and more. We will be using sharp tools in this class, but it will be beginner friendly.

July 23, 6pm - Yarn Paintings $25: This class is centered around expressing ourselves in fiber. We will upcycle yarn to create stunning touchable tactile yarn "paintings" inspired by succulents, although you are welcome to venture off and create your own masterpiece. The technique is extremely easy and beginner friendly.

About your Instructor: Bree has been a dedicated working artist for most of her life, bringing creativity, skill, and passion to every project.
