Relief Printing Workshop - Tuesday program
Design, Carve & Print.
We’ll have fun creating a design or drawing that we can then transfer and carve to create a ‘stamp’ to print on paper, fabric, wood etc. Relief printing is the art of printmaking by cutting or carving a design on the surface, cut in relief. Meaning what is cut away leaves the design raised ready for ink and printing. Relief printing, linocut, is an effective decorative process of cutting away and the design stays raised. Picasso and Matisse used the technique making it popular.
Upcycle Bird Feeder - Thursday program.
Recycle, Decorate & Reuse.
Using recycled articles we’ll create a fun little bird feeder by cutting, gluing and painting. It's a wonderful feeling knowing that you can create something by recycling an everyday article. We’ll be helping the environment 2-fold by recycling and creating a bird feeder to be used in the backyard.
A Fun project suitable for ages.
All sessions are started with a time to settle, followed by a mindful relaxing practice of deep breathing.
