Turn broken pieces into something beautiful for your garden!
In this two-session Art in the Garden workshop, you’ll create your own 12" × 12" mosaic stepping stone using pieces of broken china. Along the way, you’ll learn the basics of mosaic design and tiling, plus how to work with thinset/concrete and grout to create a finished piece you can take home and enjoy in your garden or yard.
Have china at home with a pattern, color, or memory you’d love to incorporate? Bring it with you! Broken china will also be provided for participants to use.
Session 1 — November 17: Plan your design and create your mosaic using broken china.
Session 2 — November 18: Learn how to mix and apply grout and finish your stepping stone.
No previous mosaic experience is necessary. Come ready to create, experiment, and give something broken a colorful new purpose.
Class size is limited to 10 participants.
