Description
Join Debbie Finley and Lilly Lueck for a Raku Firing Workshop at Art in the Park 2025. Come glaze a piece and participate in a Raku firing.
Age limit: 10 years old and over.
No one under 10 is allowed around the kiln area.
Raku firing is a unique pottery technique where glazed pieces are removed from a hot kiln and immediately placed into a reduction chamber, often containing combustible materials like newspaper or sawdust. This rapid cooling and oxygen-starved environment creates a distinct surface with crackled glazes, vibrant colors, and unexpected designs.
