Art Rampage Plein Air
A day of painting outdoors in the stunning surrounds of Soleado Lavender Farm. Find your spot and set up for the day. The farm boasts rolling hills, with the crown of Sugarloaf Mt. as a backdrop. An Angular 60’s Modern house atop a hillside of lavender, two ponds and a massive oak tree at it's heart. Take your time walking around the farm to find your vantage point. Settle into a day of fun and work. The farm will be open to visitors. Your choice of a green or red flag (provided at check in) on your easel will alert the public to come talk to you or leave you in your own world!
Open to Artists working in all media. If you are working on a painting surface other than a framed canvas be sure to find q display solution for the judging portion of the event.
This is an annual event returning after two years.
Winner receives A best in show ribbon along with a prize valued at over $600 in Soleado Lavender products, as well as promotions from area businesses.
Sign in starts at 9am (arrivals accepted until 12pm) painting session ends at 3:00pm.
Painter is responsible for all of their gear, must have an easel, this will double as the stand to show your work. All Painters MUST have 2 drop cloths, one to put under their work to keep paint out of the grass, and one to show their work at the end.
You are welcome to bring additional canvases, but you will only submit one painting.
Register your canvas with us by having us stamp it on the back, keep additional canvases in your car, if you must switch canvases for any reason, return to the check in table for your canvas to be stamped.
At 3pm you will bring your easel, fresh drop cloth and your painting to the patio, all paintings must be secured to the easel with wire and a brick to wait it down.
No rain date is scheduled for this event, in the event of forecasted bad weather the event may be canceled, if unexpected rain or excessive wind that interferes with painting, ticket holders will be invited to another make up event.
Tickets are non-refundable.
