Artist Talk and Mixer

What if being an artist is about more than making and selling artwork?

Join us at Alameda Gallery & Collective for an informal conversation and artist mixer with John Boychuk, artist, public artist and Strategic Advisor — about building a creative life beyond the traditional studio-to-gallery path.

We’ll talk about finding opportunities in unexpected places, getting involved in your community, turning experience into credibility, making connections, and building not just a portfolio of things you’ve made, but a portfolio of things you’ve made happen.

This isn’t a seminar about personal branding or how to sell more art. It’s a conversation about creative freedom, community, relationships and the wonderfully weird zigzag that an artist’s life can take.

Come with questions. Meet other artists. Share what you’re working on. Maybe find someone you should be working with.
