Please be sure to attend the annual showcase of Ayako School of Ballet, which will be held at Hillsdale Theater on June 21, 2025.
The ASB Spring Showcase is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Hillsdale Theater. The event will feature two shows. The 2 PM show will primarily highlight levels Pre-Ballet through Level 5, where Pre-Ballet and Beginning classes will showcase the recital pieces they have learned. This showcase will include excerpts from “Carnival of Animals,” performances from competition groups, recital pieces from Pre-Ballet classes, and presentations from Ms. Mimi's classes. Advanced students will present “La Bayadère” at both the 2 PM and 6 PM shows.
The ASB Gala performance, which begins at 6:00 PM, will feature “La Bayadère” performed by advanced-level students, “Carnival of Venice” presented by intermediate-level students, and solo, duo, and group performances by top award winners from recent competitions. In "La Bayadère," Logan Martin—an instructor at our school and a dancer with the Oakland Ballet Company—will perform the role of Solor, presenting a stunning Pas de Deux alongside Kelsie Fong as Nikiya and Jennifer Luo as Gamzatti.
ASB Gala 2025 promises to be an unforgettable evening, celebrating the timeless beauty and enchantment of ballet across generations.
