Bringing It All Together: Planning and Assessing Your Business

Starting and running a business is HARD. The appeal of being one’s own boss is something that entrepreneurs initially think is easy to accomplish. The process of starting all of the necessary systems often overwhelms business owners because there is a lot to do. Starting a business is not just about making sales; rather it is: developing a name, coming up with a logo and website, creating a business plan and projections, applying for funding, assessing the value in the marketplace, and much more.

Somehow business owners attempt to manage all of the roles with starting a business as well as time in their personal lives. The reality is no one has the time to play all of these positions in their business, and have a balanced life.

Wouldn’t a road map to starting a business be nice? What about having the ability to assess what are the true needs in your business? Want to know where one can go to get help? At this business development and assessment workshop, hosted by Alex Cardona, we will dive into what systems are needed to create and maintain efficient business operations. We will learn what resources are here locally and establish an action plan to relieve the burden of being a business owner. You will come out of this workshop with both an understanding of what areas of your business need developed but a plan on how you can achieve those goals.

Alex Cardona, CEO of Cardona Business Development started his career in social work after graduating from the University of South Florida with a degree in public health. After a few years of frustration with the mental health system, Alex transitioned from social work to teaching. As a middle school physical education teacher, Alex thought that he had found his life’s purpose. Alex Created a physical education curriculum that was focused on total comprehensive fitness and was supported by local businesses in the community. After a few years in education, Alex realized that his vision was to impact youth on a national level, and focused on opening his own youth training facility. In the beginning of 2020, Alex was in the process of obtaining his personal training certification when the pandemic came. After losing his income and his career path, Alex was presented with an opportunity to own his own legal service business. Without hesitation Alex took this opportunity to help empower individuals with access to the justice system. Since starting his business in Asheville, Alex has helped both individuals and businesses get access to the justice system, started a local radio show named the Golden Key, and has become a respected business developer in the community. In 2021, Alex took his entrepreneurship to community engagement by serving on the board for both the Young Professionals of Asheville, and the People’s Community and Inclusion, subdivisions of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce. In 2022, Alex expanded his influence by and his business by joining the committee of One Million cups, and merging his legalshield business with a larger cooperation of business development, and increasing his notoriety in Ashville through speaking at both the Black Business Expo and the Freelance Business Week. Alex believes that the journey of entrepreneurship is a journey of self development fueled by the balance of faith and self confidence.  Alex can be found on the following platforms.
