Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center – Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) invites you to participate in the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) Industry Information Session. During this information session, details and further clarification will be provided on the recently released APNT Request for Information (RFI), followed by a Q&A portion, with attendees, pertaining to RFI submissions and the technologies being sought.

This is a hybrid, virtual and in person, information session. There are TWO identical sessions being conducted: 0900-1200EST and 1300-1600EST. Each session will provide the same information to participants; you only need to attend one. You may choose to attend one of these sessions either virtually, via Microsoft Teams, or in person, at TechPort, located in the St. Mary's County Aeropark, 44185 Airport Rd, California, MD 20619.

Please use the following link to access additional information on the RFI: https://techport.center/naval-aviation-assured-pnt-industry-survey/

The Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) Branch of NAWCAD has requested information on Complementary PNT Technologies capable of providing continuous access to Position, Velocity, Attitude or Time (PVAT) information without relying on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals, including Global Positioning System (GPS).

This is not a formal solicitation or a request for proposal. The information requested will be used to inform assessments, recommendations, and technical experimentation. The data collected will be presented to a government panel, which may require further inquiry. An invitational-information session may be arranged with your firm at the discretion of the panel.

Due to the potential recommendation for flight experimentation, we are only seeking response for system meeting the following conditions:

Technology Readiness Level (TRL) = 5; Technology component or basic sub-system validation in relevant environment.
Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) = 5; Capability to produce prototype components in production relevant environment.
