The 7th Annual August Academy is hosted by the Women of BASA August 15-17, 2025.
The event will kick off on Friday, August 15, with an Open House and a kids’ BB gun shoot. Saturday, August 16th is a Women's ONLY Range Day, beginning with a safety class. Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to practice target shooting with a variety of firearms, we will also have lunch, door prizes, and shopping. On Sunday, we will offer a Permit to Carry class, instructed by Gary Grangruth registration is required by emailing ggrangruth@gmail.com.
Purchase of a ticket for Saturday is required as we have a limited number of of tickets available. Ticket price covers eye protection, ear protection, equipment, ammunition, and lunch. Ticket price is $60.00 plus fees. Event will happen rain or shine.
Saturday's schedule of events: 8am Registration, 9am Safety Class, 10-12 Range/Classes, Noon -1pm Lunch, door prizes, shopping, 1-4 Range/Classes. Classes offered: Beltrami County Sherriff's office will be teaching De-Escalation and Self-Defense classes. The Range time will include target shooting, equipment available for range use (you are welcome to bring your own): .22/.380/9mm/Rifle/Armalite-15.
