What to Expect

Whether you have never been to a circle before or this is your 15th time, I welcome you. No two circles are ever the same.  This will be different than our usual full moon circle. The new moon is a time of planning, manifestation, forecasting for what's to come. Instead of coming with an entry already written, we will sit in circle and journal together to plan our next lunar cycle and share those wishes with a room full of willing women.

The evening will start with happy hour snacks and light refreshments before settling into circle as a group. We meditate to my Nepali singing bowls and then we will have time to write. After writing, you may read your entry aloud to share with the group. Please don't worry - all of us are in the same boat so it's completely okay if you feel awkward or vulnerable about your thoughts being shared. Try to write from the heart as much as possible. We don't have enough spaces for true open, non-judgmental dialogue anymore and that's the goal of this circle and community.

Journal Prompts

These will be shared on the night of circle :)

What's Going On In The Cosmos

The official date of the new moon is August 23rd, and this will be in the sign of Virgo.  Virgo is a planner. She gets things done! Your feeling of safety currently might be related to order and clarity, even in how you handle and process your emotions.

You may feel the need to organize everything chaotic or disorganized, adding structure and getting into that "back to school" energy. Try being more tolerant towards your own chaos and accept the imperfections of life.

It is better to trust life and let it run its own way, not everything must be according to our expectations. We will journal on how this energy can be harnessed for the 28 day cycle ahead of us and allow ourselves to dream a bigger dream like Pisces, her opposite.

 Full Evening Agenda

1. MOONSHINE & GROUND RULES We'll mix and mingle for a bit until everyone arrives. There will be light refreshments and snacks served for a happy hour before settling into our circle. Then we'll go over the basics to set up a mindful space for sharing.

2. SET INTENTIONS & LIGHT CANDLES We go around the circle and state 1 thing we hope to gain from this experience as we each light our candle in front of us.

3. MEDITATE We'll spend 10 minutes meditating by candlelight to the sound of my singing bowls lovingly made under a full moon in Nepal. Spend time reflecting on our goals, connecting as a group, and getting in touch with our bodies as we enter zen self-reflection mode.

4. INTROSPECT This will be a large part of our evening. I will read several journal prompts out loud to the room so we can respond with a free flow of what comes to us. You may handwrite your response or type it up on your phone.

5. EXTROSPECT Dialogue ensues. Each circle member gets the chance to share some of their journal entry with the group. Did anything emotional come up? Did you feel stuck at all? Feel free to share from the heart.

6. GRATEFULNESS & GAIN Each member of the circle states one person/place/thing they are grateful for having or currently experiencing in their lives.

7. HOPEFUL LOSS Circle members state one thing they hope to reduce/lose/let go of in the coming weeks as they blow out their candles one by one

8. CLOSING THOUGHTS A chance for open dialogue, feedback, connecting with other members of the circle and easing back into the routines of life before going back off into the dark of the night.
