Fire up the family camcorder and get your show on film, it's Austin Sketch Fest submission time! We want you to send us your weird as hell scripted comedy shows -- from sketch ensembles to one-person storytelling shows, weird conceptual game shows, character-based stand-up shows, and everything in between. We want to hear your pitches!
SUBMISSION DATES
Early Bird Submission (January 17 - January 31): $25
Regular Bird Submission (February 1 - February 29): $35
Late Bird Submission (March 1 - March 15): $45
SUBMISSION FEE WAIVER
To promote the accessibility of our festival, Austin Sketch Fest is offering full or partial submission fee waivers for individuals or teams for whom the submission fee presents a barrier to inclusivity. To apply for a submission fee waiver, please complete the form at the link below by Wednesday, February 21st (12pm Central):
Submission Fee Waiver Application
Acts submitting with a fee waiver must submit before our March 1st REGULAR BIRD deadline. If you are selected for a fee waiver, Austin Sketch Fest will email a promo code to use on your submission by February 21st. Austin Sketch Fest cannot retroactively apply this fee waiver, so please wait to submit if you are seeking a fee waiver.
ANY QUESTIONS?
Make sure to check out the FAQ below, and if you have any questions or comments about the festival not covered there, you can contact the producers at info@atxsketchfest.com, or reach out to us on Instagram or Twitter (@atxsketchfest).
What type of video should I submit? We would prefer to see video of a LIVE performance, but if you only have produced video sketches, don't let that stop you from submitting! Please submit only ONE video link for review. If you have multiple sketches, please edit them together into one video.
How long should my video submission be? We want a good sample of what your live show will be like, but please keep your video submissions no longer than 20 minutes in total.
Do you take submissions from standups?
We'd love to see what you've got! But keep in mind, we are primarily a festival for sketch comedy. If you are going to submit as a standup, we're more likely to be interested if you're doing characters or if there is some kind of conceptual angle.
When will I hear back about my submission?
Our goal is to respond to teams in mid-April.
