Cameron Grant is a Melbourne-based live performance photographer and Director of Parenthesy [a digital media production house], specialising in theatre, musical theatre, live music, dance, and circus. His work captures the emotion, craft, and energy of live performance, helping preserve and elevate Australia’s vibrant performing arts community.
Driven by a passion for storytelling and authenticity, Cameron has quickly become one of Melbourne’s leading performance photographers. His images have appeared in international and local publications including Rolling Stone Magazine, Deadline, Disney Official, and as a regular appearance in local news sites like The Guardian, and Aussie Theatre. He has worked with major organisations such as Arts Centre Melbourne, Michael Cassel Group, GWB Entertainment, and Crossroads Live, providing photographic services across Australia and internationally on productions including recently seen Beetlejuice, Miss Saigon, The Talented Mr Ripley, Anastasia, and Disney’s The Lion King.
In 2024, Cameron developed and presented the first instalment of ‘Australian Theatres Unveiled’, a photographic series celebrating the architecture and heritage of Australia’s major theatre venues. The first instalment was exhibited at his Brunswick East studio, drawing national industry leaders and strong public interest. The series continues to expand and the full collection will open at FortyFive Downstairs in February 2026, showcasing theatre architecture as both cultural heritage and fine art.
Cameron continues to collaborate closely with artists and organisations to document their creative work with professionalism and care. Through Parenthesy, he aims to strengthen and support Australia’s live performance sector in a post-COVID world, producing high-quality imagery that celebrates, sustains, and shares the stories of the performing arts with honesty and impact.
