Kick off your Bachata weekend at The Broadside with the official Bachata Totál Pre-Party featuring internationally recognized instructor Erick Ortiz.

Known for his energetic teaching style and deep appreciation for traditional bachata, Erick has built a reputation for helping dancers of all levels improve their musicality, connection, and authentic movement on the dance floor.

The evening begins with a mini class from 8:30 PM–9:15 PM, followed by social dancing until midnight. Whether you're warming up for Saturday's Traditional Bachata Intensive or simply looking for a great night of dancing, this is the perfect way to start the weekend.

The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed
Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed.
Our outdoor space has a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. If you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
