Description
A group of professors is working on an encyclopedia in seclusion, but their research on modern slang is hopelessly behind. When Professor Bertram Potts ventures into the city to learn new slang, he meets nightclub performer Katherine “Sugarpuss” O’Shea, who ends up hiding in their home to evade the police. As she begins helping them understand contemporary speech, affections develop—and complications arise when her mob-connected fiancé pursues her.
