Professional Touring Companies
Founder and Artistic Director, Kathy Thibodeaux, stepped into the spotlight of the
international ballet community in 1982 when she won the Silver Medal at the II USA
International Ballet Competition (IBC). Kathy founded Ballet Magnificat! in 1986,
and Ballet Magnificat! School of the Arts in 1989. Today, both feature an ensemble
of professional dancers and teachers from around the world who share Kathy’s
vision. Ballet Magnificat! dancers have included former members of Les Ballet Jazz
de Montreal, Spokane Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, the
State Theatre of the Czech Republic, Oldenburgishes Staatstheater of West
Germany, Ballet Mississippi, Eternia Dance Theater of Sweden, Royal Winnipeg
Ballet, Ballet Hawaii and the Houston Ballet Academy. Ballet Magnificat!’s
professional touring company performs extensively throughout the United States
and abroad. They have been guests at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and
the Christian Music Artists Seminar in Estes Park. Internationally, the companies
have delivered compelling programs on such themes as forgiveness, hope, and joy,
for audiences in over 45 countries.
