Description

Starting the journey of incorporating medicinal herbs into your lifestyle can be overwhelming. Working with herbs that are generally recognized as safe, learning about topical applications, and simple processes can create a safe and enjoyable learning experience. This introductory class will help the beginning herbalist get started using a proven teaching format  that incorporates hands-on learning, take home materials and a sample of the salve we will make together as a class. The intention is that this class will provide a foundation for continued learning at your own pace.

Topics covered in this class include:

-compiling a basic plant profile

-indicators for use of an infused oil or salve

-sourcing herbs, both fresh and dried

-considerations for harvesting fresh plants

-learning hands on, the step-by-step process from plant to jar how to make infused oils and turn them into salves.

- an in-depth review of one plant that is often used as a infused oil/salve.

Making salves is one of my favorite ways to incorporate plants into my life and I am so excited to share what I have learned, since I started working with medicinal herbs over 15 years ago.

All of the materials in this class are provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.

We do not offer refunds, but if you are unable to attend the class, you may transfer your registration to another person.
