Percussion workshop - Afro-Cuban rhythms and bata drumming
(all musicians and tap dancers welcome)
In this 90-minute workshop, you will be working with professional musicians William “Beaver” Bausch, Pete Smith, Max Pollack, and David Ambrosio. This workshop will focus on learning the basics of Afro-Cuban folkloric rhythms with movement, singing, clapping, and percussion. Through hands-on activities, workshop attendees will learn the relationship of clave to the roots of Afro-Cuban rhythms, bata drumming, and jazz.
