The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
Description
This class will celebrate the benefits of batch cooking - to reduce meal costs, learn to cook wholesome healthy meals, spend just a few hours cooking for the whole week, minimise food waste and cut down the amount of packaging and plastic waste produced.
Our Cookery Leader Emiliano will show you how to batch cook and portion your meals so that they can be properly stored/frozen; allowing you to have a ready-cooked homemade dinner available whenever you need it.
You will work in pairs during the class and topics will include:
- Meal planning for the whole week (ensuring that they are nutritious and balanced)
- A cooking session (batch cooking for the whole week)
- Preparing nutritious and tasty snacks (savoury and sweet)
Join us for a relaxing and friendly session and leave with new skills and inspiration.
