Get your red carpet outfits ready! Join us for the 2nd annual BCSD Student Film Festival on Saturday May 13th 2023. Open to the whole community at attend! the 2:30 pm screening will feature short films by BCSD elementary school students. The evening screening will feature short films by BCSD middle and high school students.
Students and their families have attended evening and weekend workshops this past winter with local filmmakers to learn some pro techniques for making a short film. Film genres span everything from drama, comedy, and mystery, to stop motion, documentary, and experimental film. Each film submitted will be under 2 minutes. Many great stories to see at each screening!
We'll have film festival merchandise, concession stands and additional fundraising activities in the lobby before and after each screening. Proceeds raised from this event will go directly to the Foundation for Beacon Schools' fund for teacher grants and enrichment programming in Beacon's public schools.
