Consortium Carissimi was founded in 1996 with the intent of uncovering and bringing to modern day ears the long forgotten Italian-Roman sacred and secular music of the 16th & 17th century through voice and historically informed instruments.
Description
The concerts on June 7 and 8 at 2:00 p.m. will be centered around the organ and our patron Saint,
Cecelia. Consortium Carissimi will turn their attention to “beyond the alps” with the Odes dedicated
to her by John Blow and Henry Purcell.
