Share Viles Arboretum is a free, easily accessible, botanical garden that is open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week. The space include six miles of trails, 20 botanical collections, and local stone art works (all marked and signed), on 224 acres.
Description
If you have ever wanted to get into bird watching, but haven’t known where to start, this is the opportunity for you! Our bird walk programs are hosted by a knowledgeable Arboretum staff member who is capable of pointing out some of Maine’s unique bird species by sight and sound. No experience, binoculars or bird books required to attend. A limited number of bird books are available to borrow in the Visitor Center for these tours. Each bird walk lasts approximately two hours. This program is hosted weather permitting. In the event of rain or high winds, we will cancel this program and offer participants a refund, or credit towards another program.
