Cynthia Cutting
Cynthia has been an art educator since teenage years, teaching all age groups, in all
kinds of venues in schools and in communities, online, and in her home teaching studio
in Weaverville. Her teaching strength is her ability to listen to her students, meet them
where they are, and facilitate positive and fulfilling art experiences.
As a practicing eco artist, Cynthia works with natural and repurposed materials, often
combining them with traditional art mediums. Her focus for many years has been in
connecting people to nature through artmaking.
She has also been an arts administrator for arts councils and arts centers, as well as a
university gallery director and museum director. She is constantly looking for
opportunities to apply her passion for the power of the arts to build, support, inspire, and
enrich communities.
