Dr. William “Bill” Bass will present a lecture benefitting the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 7:30 pm. Radio and TV personality Frank Murphy will serve as emcee.
Thirty-nine years ago, a massive explosion rocked Benton, Tennessee. The explosion destroyed a barn disguised as a fishing bait farm. It had been operating as one of the largest illegal fireworks factories in the country. Dismembered bodies flew through the air, creating a challenge for Dr. Bill Bass and his team to recover and identify the victims.
In this presentation, Dr. Bass will discuss the science behind his identification of the bodies, and he will take questions from the audience.
Doors will open at 5:30 pm. Food will be available for purchase from Mucho Gusto, a food truck specializing in International cuisine with a Hispanic flair to burgers, pizza, and hotdogs.
Tickets are $125 per person (plus a small processing fee) and on sale at: https://bit.ly/drbasscmor
