TRACK DESCRIPTIONS AND INFORMATION

When you select your event tickets for purchase, you will select your track selection. Space is limited so register early to secure your seat(s) for the event and track of your choice. Event and track registration closes Sunday June 9, 2024.

Attendees will choose from one of the following workshop tracks. Each track includes five 90-minute workshops. Please review the event schedule below for more information on the workshop schedule.

ACTOR TRACK: Come experience Fabiano Altamura’s acting technique, The Dream Circle. Whether you are an experienced actor or are simply exploring what acting may unleash in you, The Dream Circle is a safe place to take risks—a defined area to explore acting without judgment, fear or failure. This technique empowers and gives the artist permission to perform in truth and confidence, breaking off the lie that it’s wrong to create. Come align with your identity and partner with the Holy Spirit as you learn to express yourself artistically in the Presence.

BROADWAY TRACK: Do Broadway and musical movies make your heart sing and dance? Then this track is for you! Offering signature workshops like Acting Through Song and exercises from The Dream Circle, this track will empower your voice, unleash your body and unlock your emotions as a musical storyteller. Experience permission to perform free from performance as you connect spirit to Spirit with your creative Father.

DANCE TRACK: Come be ignited as a dancer in your identity, calling and artistry! Through training in various dance styles & techniques, you will rewrite your beliefs, break off perfectionism, and learn how to partner with the Holy Spirit in your movement, performance, and choreography. Whether you are already in the dance world or aspiring to be, these three days will align you with God’s heart for dance and the dancer. (Workshops groups will be offered for both advanced and beginner dancers.)

FILMMAKER TRACK: Before you make a movie, you need to tell a story. Jesus told more stories than He performed signs and wonders. So what if a well-told story is a sign and a wonder. In just three days, you’ll learn to create, capture and share a Kingdom story. Join the Filmmaker Track and discover what it means to become a Kingdom Storyteller!

CREATOR TRACK: Can’t choose just one? The Creator Track offers the unique opportunity to engage in a set of multi-disciplinary workshops curated to activate your mind, encourage your soul and feed your spirit. Join us for a refreshing and experiential three day journey as we explore ways to embrace your identity as a creator, shaped in the image of The Creator.

WHY IS "ARTIST" CAPITALIZED?

Bethel Conservatory of the Arts exists to train and equip professional artists--creative revivalists who release God’s Kingdom through story, movement, and emotion. Through our Spirit-filled teachers, curriculum, and environment, we will equip a generation of bold and strong storytellers who partner with the Presence as they train and perform.

The acronym “ARTIST” represents our core values of ABBA, RELATIONSHIP, TRANSFORM,  IDENTITY, SERVE, and TESTIMONY. These shape the foundations of Bethel Conservatory of the Arts, its programs and its namesake gathering -- The ARTIST Summit.

ABBA: Everything begins and ends with our Heavenly Father, the Alpha and the Omega.  We’re creative because He is. We’re artists because He is the ultimate artist. It all began and begins through an intimate relationship with Him. And in the end, more than anything we create, what matters is our intimacy with the Creator, our Father. (Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6)

RELATIONSHIP: Just as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have been in eternal relationship, so are we, the Kingdom artist, called to be in relationship with God, ensemble and audience. We train as artists to posture ourselves to create and perform out of relationship, in fellowship with the artists we work with and those who come to share in our work. We are not set apart from them but for them.

TRANSFORM: Entertainment isn’t enough. As Kingdom artists we perform to transform -- people, cities and nations. Transformation is the inevitable and natural byproduct of an encounter with Jesus. And we owe the world an encounter. (John 4:4-26, Acts 9:1-19)

IDENTITY: Kingdom artists perform from identity not for it. We are who He says we are: sons and daughters, made in His image. We are carriers of His Presence, His promises written on our hearts. And out of the abundance of heart the mouth will speak, the pen will write and the body will move. (Genesis 1:27, Matthew 12:34, 2 Corinthians 3:3)

SERVE: As Kingdom artists we are servants not celebrities. We are called to serve -- the audience, our fellow cast members, the story, our character, choreographer and director. Jesus came to serve not to be served, who are we to offer any less. (Matthew 20:28)

TESTIMONY: The two most powerful stories you will ever tell are the gospel and your testimony. They are the only two stories that have the power to move a human soul from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. All great stories are simply an echo of His masterpiece. (1 Thessalonians 1:5, Romans 1:16, Revelation 12:11, 19:10)

Bethel Conservatory of the Arts

Bethel Conservatory of the Arts exists to train and equip professional actors, dancers, filmmakers, music composers and screenwriters through fully accredited programs. We envision a generation of creative revivalists who know their identity in Christ, perform in the Presence and release the kingdom of God in the Entertainment Industry.

At BCA, two of our core values are to explore both the Kingdom and humanity.  The world and Scripture are filled with characters who are messy and broken. Our aim is never to glorify sin, but, often the stories we tell will show the lost making mistakes. We won’t always get that balance right, but we are committed to trying our best, and to taking creative risks.
