Your tour guide is: David Herszenson , a physician and licensed NYC tour guide. After meeting at Heinrich Heine Fountain, we will take a leisurely walk around through the Grand Concourse Historic District in the South Bronx, which was developed shortly after nearby Yankee Stadium was built in 1923. The neighborhood consists of beautiful apartment buildings in the Neo-Renaissance and Art Deco styles that line the Concourse, which was known as the Champs-Elysees of the Bronx. Happily, these buildings survived the notorious fires that took place in the South Bronx in the 1970s.
So get your walking shoes on and dress warm!
Looking forward to seeing everyone at our next City Touring adventure!
Big Gay City Touring is offered via our partnership with Queer Social.
