The Smart Cycling curriculum is designed to develop confidence and competence of a bicycle rider. Students will learn about choosing a bicycle, basic parts of a bike, essential equipment, as well as how to safely and comfortably ride your bike in various traffic conditions, terrain and climates.
The course is being held in three parts: Two, two hour class room sessions, and a separate four hour on-bike session. Students are encouraged to watch videos of the classroom content prior to attending. https://learn.bikeleague.org/smart-cycling-3
Students need to bring bike, helmet, (required), and water to the Saturday on-bike session. Bicycles should be in good running order. Please have it checked out prior to class if in doubt.
