This is an evening of Excellence And Elegance as the Sacramento Black History Committee, Today's Times Newspaper and Black Expo Events presents the annual presents the Black History Makers From Home Honors Black Tie Red Carpet Gala. Join us inside the Dante Event Center for this luxurious awards show complete with music from award winning jazz musician Mariea Antoinette.
She is a renowned harpist whose music has amazed audiences worldwide for her style, incredible renditions of popular song and her fascinating skill on a beautiful harp. It is truly a sight to behold to watch a beautiful young woman perform a magical instrument with such charisma and enjoyment performing, jazz, classical and even funk. Other performances will be from the Seastrunk Brothers of San Francisco performing Motown hits and more. There will also be a special performance by the Sacramento based Foe Deep quartet and our Gospel choir. This event is a long standing tradition in Sacramento where the achievements of Black people, organizations and those that support the history and the future of a culture come together to recognize how "Our Dreams From The Past, Inspire Hope For The Future." Our honorees are living examples of these reflective legacies that are created through dedication, purpose and caring for others. These are our 2025 Black History Makers From Home.
