The Blackford County 4-H & Open Fair, Inc known as Blackford Fairboard is a non-profit organization that maintains the Blackford County fairgrounds in Hartford City, Indiana along with planning and implementing the county fair each year. The Fairboard fundraises throughout the year to support our expenses. Our most popular fundraiser is selling our famous pork burgers and boneless butterfly chops at various fairs, festivals, and events predominantly in the fall. The Fairboard consists of volunteers from the community who are passionate about helping youth grow and develop through the 4-H program.
Description
The Blackford County Fairboard in Hartford City, Indiana will be offering 100 campsites available during the 2024 Solar Eclipse as a fundraiser for our 4H and Fair programs. We are in the solar eclipse path of totality and are expecting three minutes and 15 seconds of total eclipse. There will be NO electric (generators are allowed), NO water and NO sewer hook-ups or dumping stations. Fires will be permitted in designated areas only. All sites will be first come, first serve basis. Sites will be reserved once payment is received and there will be NO REFUNDS. There will be additional events taking place on the fairgrounds the weekend of April 5th, such as fundraising meals, corn hole tournaments and other activities.
