Description

Come drink the whisky so good that Scotland banned it!

A "celtic blended malt" that had the Scotch Whisky Association up in arms - which sadlly resulted in the product being banned from sale. Luckily we scored one of just 7200 bottles that were produced. You know you want to taste what all the hullabaloo was about!

Joining our banned whisky in the lineup is a pairing of a black whisky from Scotland and a white whisky from Australia. Singing like whacko Jacko is optional.

Rounding out the tasting we have peat where there shouldn't be any, and a lack of peat where it's practically mandatory - plus a whisky that goes against the grain despite being the main ingredient in one of the most common childhood breakfast cereals!

Normally we lay out full details of the whiskies we're pouring at our events - this tasting is the exception to the rule. All we will say is that every whisky breaks the mold of what a 'proper whisky' should be. So join us for an absolute riot of an evening this February as we break all the rules!

The Lineup:

  • The banned whisky.
  • The black whisky.
  • The white whisky.
  • The unusually peated whisky.
  • The confoundingly unpeated whisky.
  • The weird grain whisky.

A cheese & charcuterie platter is provided at in-person events. Please advise us via email if you have any allergies or dietary requirements that we need to be aware of.

This event is only for persons aged 18 years or older.
